Project e-QUALity:

Empowering Digital Inclusion and Literacy

Why This Program Matters

In today’s world, internet access is not a luxury — it’s a necessity for education, employment, healthcare, and daily life. Yet, Miami is the second least-connected large city in the U.S., with more than 20% of residents disconnected from the internet. This digital divide leaves thousands of low- to moderate-income families unable to complete school assignments, apply for jobs, manage finances, or access critical services.

As FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel has stated: “The cost of digital exclusion is high and growing every day. It’s time to bridge the digital divide so that everyone can afford to have an internet connection, no matter who they are or where they live.”

Our Solution

Bridge to Hope launched Project e-QUALity to confront digital inequity head-on and ensure that all households have the tools to thrive in a technology-driven world. Through this initiative, we provide:

  • No-cost broadband service to eliminate financial barriers to internet access.
  • Free digital devices such as laptops and tablets for families who cannot afford them.
  • Digital skills training that equips participants to navigate online education, banking, job applications, and more.
  • Pathways to technology careers, helping participants turn digital literacy into long-term economic mobility.

Impact on Families & Communities

By providing connectivity, devices, and training, Project e-QUALity empowers families to:

  • Support children’s academic success with reliable internet and digital tools.
  • Secure better jobs through online applications and skills training.
  • Access essential services such as telehealth and online financial systems.
  • Build confidence and independence in an increasingly digital society.

The ripple effect goes beyond individual families — a digitally connected community is more inclusive, prosperous, and innovative, creating stronger opportunities for everyone.

Vision for the Future

Our long-term goal is to close the digital divide across Miami-Dade and beyond, ensuring that every resident — regardless of income or zip code — has equal access to the digital tools needed for success.
